Stem cell research

Stem cells have the unique ability to divide for indefinite periods in culture and have the capacity to differentiate into specialized cells. Hence, stem cell research can provide better understanding of cell fate determination, cell differentiation processes, and has the potential to provide treatments for a host of debilitating diseases.
